The koi
A koi draws a circle in the water. It means stay for one more minute.
The stepping boards
Flat boards cross the pond toward the courtyard. Take them slowly, the water does not mind a pause.
The flowering lily pads
Pads in bloom float near the boards, just the right size to sit on while you think.
The bottle on the ledge
A glass bottle sits on the ledge with a folded note inside. It is meant for whoever arrives slowly.
